Doccione Waterfalls and Taburri loop

A short but steep walk: up through the beech wood beside the waterfall to the Taburri meadows, and back along the old mule track.

A small loop of about two kilometres that lets you see the Doccione Waterfalls up close and from above. After the first level stretch, which leads to the wooden footbridge facing the falls, the path climbs steeply through the beech wood beside the stream to the top of the cascade.

From here, follow the signs for the I Taburri mountain hut across an open meadow. Behind the hut, take the old mule track that runs down alongside the paved road and brings you back to the start in a few hundred metres.

The rocks along the stream can be slippery: always stay on the path. Water and refreshments are available at the hut.
