Ca’ Cerfogli is Montecreto’s hotel restaurant and one of the most reviewed places in the whole Modenese Apennines. The cooking is mountain food made with care: in season, porcini mushrooms and truffle take centre stage, alongside homemade pasta such as tortelloni and ricotta tortelli.
At the end of the meal the dessert trolley comes round, one of the reasons many people keep coming back. The restaurant is open from Thursday to Sunday, for lunch and dinner: booking is a good idea, especially at weekends and during the mushroom season.
